Call to arms !

Ok, sort of a rant, but also a way for swb to help out a fellow member who has helped this site out alot in the past.

As some of you may or may not know, our very own Smiler and her trusty sidekick Ant are having a spot of bovver with so called 'green goody goodies'.

Around their small plot of land there is a plan to build umpteen wind turbines. Now these aren't the ones you see in the farmers field, these are sodding great 130m high alien looking monsters. This is going to be on the Somerset levels - where next ? Dartmoor ? Exmoor ?

What you need to do, please, is this.

Download the letter i have attached, print it off and sign it, then pop it in the post to the address on the letter. Thats it, nothing more.

Please join me in helping these friends and members out and also sticking it 'the man'.

Done...... We recently had the same problem and it was all over the news concerning the church of Englands plans to erect a load of these things. Their planning application got withdrawn after a load of agro from the locals so keep at em. $\m/$

The letter(s) for objection are there to download/print etc as well as details on how to voice your opinion via the Planning Portal. Anyone can submit an objection and its done on an individual basis rather than per household. Print, sign, send. Done!

Yes, this is a massive deal to us...but the decision made on this location will affect a great deal more people if it should get the go ahead, including the vast amounts of money paid out in subsidies that EVERYONE pays for - in this this case alone, the tune of £26.8 MILLION!!!
