Hello from Taunton
Hello All!
Just joined the forum so thought I'd introduce myself! I live just outside Taunton, been riding for 2 years and currently have a SV1000. Been keen on going out on some rides and bike nights.
Hopefully the attachment worked

Hi ross, welcome to swb.
As you can imagine things are starting to slow up a bit but until we're on lockdown there will still be bikes on the road.
Dive on in and enjoy.

Thanks folks! Taken a bit of work but it's a lot of bike for the money. It does sound incredible, definitely no issue with being heard

Hi and welcome to SWB.
Nice SV, you didn't get it from someone in my neck of the woods perchance? A fellah I know in Ottery had one for years, same colour too.

Re: Hello from Taunton
I bought it from a chap down in Plymouth. It was my second bike (after one year with a bandit 600) and on the ride home about 2 miles from home the chain snapped and shot into the clutch rod housing and caused a fair amount of damage. A couple of helicoils later and a tidy up it's on the road again and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Yeah I've been through North Petherton a few times. Haven't seen many SV1000s about so looking forward to flying the flag
Re: Hello from Taunton
Nice bike. Was it a faulty split link? I had a sv for a while. How you get on with the seat? Much better with a redone seat.

Re: Hello from Taunton
I think it may have been. It didn't appear to have been that well looked after but I've managed to save it. The seat hasn't caused me any issues yet, but I haven't done any serious miles with out stopping for a bit anyway. I hear they become quite unforgiving on long rides!

Re: Hello from Taunton
Hi and welcome to SWB. Normally about now we would be getting really busy with ride outs and pub meets etc however with COVID19 seems that its is going to ruin the usual Spring fun. Hopefully in a few months we will be back up and running as usual.
Hope you enjoy the forum and the general banter
