Good morning folks,
I’ve been a member for a while and just lurking around in the background reading lots of previous posts. I’ve been riding or involved with bikes since I was around 8 yrs old. Owned lots of various bikes over the years from budget buys to things a little newer
My current rides are a gsxr streetfighter slingshot which I spent 11 years building, and a recently new 2020 Suzuki gsx-s1000, I’ve only managed 200 miles of run in time on because of the lockdowns.
I’m looking forward to meet up with many of you like minded people and get out riding, I’m local based in Exeter.

As you'll know there's plenty going on in here if not out there.
Hope to see you on a run when we're all allowed out to play.

Hi Mark

Welcome to the forum. As you will have seen when we are not in lock down or winter then there is a lot going on normally. Personally also trying to run in a new bike but switched my loyalty from Suzuki to BMW. So hoping to have a lot of road time when we get past the end of March. Most of the ride out that I lead start in Exeter even though I am based in Teignmouth so hope to catch up in a few months. :ymhug:

Thanks menzies3032, I had read your posts when searching for a new bike, I look forward to getting out on some rides this year, especially once my bike is run in. It would be good to talk with you at some point regarding your test rides before buying the Bmw.
Stay safe everyone

Everything on the bike is either gsxr 750 or 1100, or 1 off parts, the only non Suzuki item was the seat unit, which came from a activated 125 single seat. Heavily modded to fit the bike. It has been a very challenging build which took 11 years

Cheers for the welcome, I’m really looking forward like us all to get some biking miles in. I’m itching to get my bike run-in fairly quickly as sonn as lockdown lifts.
These up & coming years are hopefully more play & less work.👍

Once we are out of lock down would love to have a chat to you about it. Perhaphs a cuppa mid ride out somewhere would be good.

If you are interested i did several youtube videos reviewing each of the bikes I test rode so I could make my decision which one to go for. If your interested check out the play list here:-

Not a problem, once we get more freedom would love to go out for a ride & have a chat. I’ve just had my 1st covid injection today, so looking forward to more freedom soon. Will arrange with you. 👍
