Hi all!
Hi there lads. My name is Patryk, new to the whole motorcycle thing, always wanted one and finally got it! Yamaha YFR-125 in Matt red and black! I know is nothing to be excited about but it is my 1st ''bigger'' bike! Hoping to do some ride outs and have some fun! I am looking to pass my Mod 1 and 2 next year when I get a little bit more experience!

Re: Hi all!
Hi there are welcome to swb.
Pretty looking Bike you have there. Most of us have worked our way up from a 125 so no sweat there.
Come along on the cobweb ride on March 4th, you see lots of different bikes, meet plenty of people and learn about roadcraft and have some fun.
Enjoy the forum.

Re: Hi all!
Don't be ashamed of that bike. I challenge anyone in here not to have fun if they try riding a good 125 even after a superbike. They may not be fast but on the road they are much more fun than a fast bike due to the extra challenges and flickability. I'd choose naked for the weight saving but there is no doubt that is the best looking 125 at the moment and I suspect ever.

Re: Hi all!
It sure is a good looking 125.
When I returned to biking and decided to get my license (very late 80's) I got one of these to do my test on.
It was not fun to ride otherwise...

Re: Hi all!
As did I.., a TY50 to be precise... and a broken one at that as I had no money so it did about 25 mph max... that's when I developed my love of speed...

Re: Hi all!
Suzy X1 for me and although I had fun I would hate to go back to it now. I fell off so many times but not once when I got a GP100 and didn't need to keep the throttle open all the time or risk slowing down and getting hit by a milk float.

Re: Hi all!
Thank you all for the positive comments, done 230 miles since i have passed and its been fun so far. Washed it and cleaned the chain so getting the hang of looking after it too! I hope to see you all on the 25th if you are attending the cob web ride out!
As the conversation goes on, i have looked for 6 months before deciding what bike i should get. I have weight all the options and even tho naked bikes are lighter, i wanted the looks as well. 15bhp at 7,500 RPM. This was also the most powerful, ''big bike'' and good looking 4 stroke i could find. I am 6ft4'. I decided against the Aprillia RS4 125 as it was a 2 stroke and was significantly smaller then the YZF. The bike is comfortable and i only just started leaning into the corners a little, which will give me confidence on a bigger bike in the near future. That was also the reason to go for a ''super sport' like bike as i am looking at getting an R6 or R1 when i am able too.
