Welcome to SWB.
I'm also in Chard & also retired, well sort of...
I'm quite fond of the odd cheeky midweek ride but seem to do most during the weekend still as my mates work normal hours.
Fridays are always a good day for a ride to a coast somewhere for a bag of chips.
Let me know if/when you feel like a ride and we can have bimble somewhere.
