New to this forum

Post by Ming »

Hi all,

Been pointed towards this forum and hoping to get out on a few rides.

The guy I normally ride with is out of action for quite a while and I get bored out on my own!

I'll keep an eye out for suitable dates and hopefully tag along. Sorry, but I ride a big trail bike, not a knee scraping sportsbike.

Cheers, Ming

hi there ming and welcome to the forum.

Frstly, doesn't matter what ya ride, it's the fact that you ride.

there's a ride tomorrow morning if you are out and about and i know for a fact there's an old bandit out on that one.

we have the friendly in a couple of weeks too, you get all sorts out on those. Alternatively you can always post up your own run and get people along.

there's a pub meet next week too so feel free to pop along and say hi.

in the meantime, dive on in and enjoy the site.

Hi Ming

Welcome to the forum. With the weather being so nice there are a lot of ride outs planned for you to tag onto.

When you say that you ride a trials bike are you looking for muddy cross country ride or road rides.

If your looking for road rides I am doing one very early tomorrow morning there is also an early ride over the weekend and next weekend there is a friendly ride which means a nice steady pace and a great opportunity to meet some new faces as well as get some miles on the bike.

Hope to see you on a ride out soon.

Keep an eye on the ride out section or on the Facebook page or send me a private message (your find that function top right of this page under your user name) with your phone number and I will add you to our whatsapp broadcast list for any upcoming events (pub meets ride outs etc)

Hi Ming. Where are you and are you magnificent ?

Good crowd here. I've got an 'excused games' letter at the moment, see you soon maybe.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

I'm in Torquay and any pretences to being magnificant are long gone, I'm afraid.

I've got a KTM 1190 Adventure which is basically a feckin powerful trailbike. Don't go properly off road any more due to health issues but just as happy on potholed backroads with more grass than tarmac on it as on sweeping A roads, so if I do get round to planning a route be prepared for a right mix!

Welcome aboard Ming.
Keep your eyes peeled for runs. There's a friendly coming up next week I think, or thereabouts. Relaxed pace but a good social. Might re-do my Dorset run in September with a few tweaks for those who missed it the first time.

Simon, how any points do I get for recruiting new members? Must be nearly up to a set of tyres by now.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I'm away next weekend unfortunately so will miss that ride. Going to Spain and Portugal for 10 days on the 9th Sept so depending on what date you go I may or may not be able to do it.
