Evening troops

Post by bondy7070 »

Evening all,
Had a bit of experience when I was younger on the old CBT on a 125, passed my full test a few years later at the ripe age of 25 last April in Plymouth. I I had a Street Triple to start of with, great bike but felt it lacked a tad of poke, it ended up in a hedge after my mate, some alcohol and the Calstock Bike show mixed together.
I bought a 899 Panigale this January, lovely bike, still have it now.
Recently I went on my first track day at Brands Hatch, it was there this website was recommended to me by someone in the same garage as me, (mate I'm sorry I forgot your name but I'm sure you'll remind this muppet, apologies lol). I got the buzz straight away and was initially like wtf do we even ride on road, Ive only really ridden my Panigale once on road since and the lack of usability just wound me up. I am at loath to sell it however, its porn on two wheels. I stuck it up on the Ducati owners forum but not for anything eye catching because I just cant bare to see it go, but also cant be arsed with the drama of turning it track ready.
So last weekend I bought a tricked up 675 Daytona blind for the track with all the bells and whistles with warmers, trailer the lot (gets delivered this weekend). Im booked in for Anglesey next weekend and Silverstone at the end of the month and think I'm going to go for a meander down the black hole that is track riding. What a f****** buz man, wish I'd started years before.
So yeah, from Cornwall/Devon area, work in Edinburgh.
Nice to speak to you all.

Hi and welcome. What a great group of bikes you have got there like you love the track days and do as many as I can as well as well as the odd bit of road riding. Keep an eye on the ride out and track day section of the forum.
