Summer jackets

Post by Mickle »

Hi all,

With spring and summer just around the corner ( I wish! ) can any one suggest suitable summer jackets It was a balmy 11degrees out today and I am already finding my RST winter gear a bit warm, the brief is....
Suitable for the larger frame!
Incorporating armour
Cheap!!

I quite like the idea of the beetle jacket that Henry cole wears on his travels, but can only find them up to size 46 (2xl). I require 50 inch 4xl

Thanks in advance

Mike

I know I may be stating the obvious but how about a classic bikers leather jacket?

There are some absolute bargains around...I know 'cos I just bought one off amazon/ebay for under 70 quid. Brand new, with tags, leather as thick as you could ever want and fits like a glove and absolutely perfect for the warmer days on top of a tee shirt. Smashing

I have to admit, I wear a leather jacket in the spring/ summer and only chuck the old thicker textile on for the winter months. Does your RST not have a zip out inner lining? I thought it was par for the course these days.

Fair enough! I would look around at short jackets then, either leather or textile, whichever material you prefer.
