Biking buddies wanted Newton Abbot area

Post by R6Ben »

Hi guys,

anyone around the newton area after a fellow biking buddy? weathers getting better now so will be out most weekends. cant beat getting out on the bike but gets a bit boring after a while. i tend to ride to teignmouth, dawlish, kingsbridge, stop and have a pint on seafront somewhere. I moved here from bristol about a year ago, leaving all my previous biking buddies behind. Give us a buzz.
Currently have a gsxr 600 k5, last year had a r6 , blackbird and r1.

Cheers Guys

Personaly if the weathers good I tend to get out no later than 7,30am , often run to westbay Dorset for a breky it's a great bit of road when quiet and takes around 45 mins offering something for everyone, then usually ending up at bridge for a bit of tyre kicking etc, so I would recommend this one to those who haven't done it :-bd
If you don't know where your going, then any road'll get you there.

In the summer we do rides that leave at 6am for a blast then home by 9.

No permission slips required.

For silly times, look up rttb in the rideout section - fun day.

Hi welcome to the forum

Living in Teignmouth so just round the corner on a GSXR 600 k1. I am also an early summer rider, Sunday mornings from Teignmouth up to Exeter then all the fun back roads to Torrington and back and home in time for breakfast.

Have a look for the ride out planned on the 22nd will be a good chance to meet up with a load of us.

Hi Ben and welcome. If you fancy a change I often go out in the evening for a ride after all the commuters are tucking into their tea. As I don't get home until after 6pm I don't have a lot of choice! As the nights are drawing in it does mean you ride home after dusk but as long as you have lights on your bike it's not too bad - also means you can see others coming round the corners ahead!
I'm in Torquay so not far away if you fancy an hour or two out next week.

Good point, well made! I'll just have to wait another 4 years for another local rider to pop up
