Re: Helmets
Might not be the very latest designs but plenty of Sharks/ Shoei's/ AGV's/Bell etc out there for under £200. Helmet City price match. 1000's on Ebay and you can use the search button to find exactly the make size colour etc. you're after. amazon worth a look too if you know what you want.

if buying "online", how do you know it's going to fit right?Dingle wrote:Bought my last few from Lids direct . Com good site.

Measured my head in the correct manner and worked off what other size helmets I already had.TLS-Moose wrote:if buying "online", how do you know it's going to fit right?Dingle wrote:Bought my last few from Lids direct . Com good site.

I guess I have a normal shaped head as the HJC I bought and a motorcross style one I bought both fit bloody lovely.
Re: Helmets
Yeah just try loads on and pick the one that fits the best. I'd rather have a slightly cheaper helmet that fits properly (within reason, not a £20 one!) than a top of the range £500 one that doesnt fit, but looks trick! The only thing you cant check for is wind noise, my model of Shark is very loud.
You can always then hunt around online and buy it cheaper, once you know the size etc. You may aswell, it isnt like you can take it back after you've walked out of the shop anyway.

Re: Helmets
The thing is, if you don't support the local shops who do actually stock the stuff you can try on, they will cease to stock it, or even go out of business ..... Then everyone will be stuck with the lottery of mail order. Build up a relationship with a local supplier and generally they will try and help you out .... And face to face, approached reasonably, someone is far less likely to tell you to F-Off than they are on the end of a phone.DynaMight wrote: You can always then hunt around online and buy it cheaper, once you know the size etc. You may aswell, it isnt like you can take it back after you've walked out of the shop anyway.
