The Bike Shed COVID 19 Community Response initiative needs a couple more volunteer riders to sign-up ASAP in or near Exeter to support a new PPE partner. See here if you can help ...

Yeh, likewise... and no actual info on what you'd be volunteering for.
TBH I'm too far out from Exeter anyway so I gave up.

Don't have a smartphone for the gophr application so I can't do it and my criminal record would limit what help I'd be allowed to give. Luddites with an ancient naughtiness are barred from being do-gooders apparently.....I'll just have to remain a badass
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

Never mind Brian, you can save up your do-goodliness for the 'flakes when you organise your next rideout - by not including any grasstracking or green laning :)): .

I signed up and although there are jobs in the Southwest there are not that many

I also signed up on Facebook for Volunteer Riders UK which is bigger and not so regimental https://www.facebook.com/groups/229513121739915/

In fact in the last week I have dealt with 1400 Visors to carehomes in Devon

Today at the Exeter Services two cars are arriving from up north to be met with 12 bikers that will deliver PPE all over Devon

That sounds more like it Peter, thanks.

I'll be pulling my tourer out of slumber next month which would mean that I'd actually be able to carry some stuff on it (it's got a pretty big top box). On my current bike I struggle to carry a spare pair of sun glasses.

The way to go on something like a 1290 SDR is a Kriega US20 or 30 tail pack - carries plenty, easy to attach and remove, unobtrusive when fitted :-bd

I have a Kriega 30 tail pack, use all year round, 100% waterproof over last 2 years daily use, can be switched between my 3 bikes in less than 1 minute. They're not the cheapest, but defo beats the large sports bag that i used to use.
