You must stop by the mach loop. Where the fighter planes come through low in the valley. That is if you didn't know it was there already. It's on the 2nd route you put up.

The hotel are being silly buggers and the price of rooms has gone up from what they were on 27th September that I posted here. Singles are now a silly price, but peeps could share maybe. They will not let us have rooms at the originally quoted prices so get booking now before the rates go up any more. My latest email to them did not get a positive response.:-

"I made a telephone booking on 27th September for a twin room for 17-19 June 2022 at a price of £160 - booking number BK002172/1.
As several friends also intend staying with you that weekend I enquired about other room rates and was quoted £100 for single rooms for the two nights. When trying to book they inform me that this rate does not apply and they've been quoted over £150. I appreciate that rates are variable and I should have asked for rates to remain as quoted on 27th September for our group. If I ask my friends to quote our group "South West Bikers" could we have the single rooms we require at the price quoted on 27th September? Otherwise we may consider staying elsewhere and cancel the rooms already booked, which I believe would be my twin booking, two double rooms and two singles.
Please feel free to telephone my landline to discuss this.
Many thanks, Brian."

Sorry about this gang, It's out of my hands

I've asked Lindsay at the Neuadd if he can put up with us again. If he can I hope the others who have already booked at Bala could cancel there and book the Neuadd:-

"Lindsay,
Southwest Bikers have stayed with you a couple of times and we'd like to enjoy your hospitality again over the weekend of 17-19 June 2022. We're likely to number about 16 and would like a mixture of twin, double and single rooms. Can you accommodate us then and can we have a dinner, bed & breakfast deal?
Many thanks, Brian."

It's obviously busier than they expected with the bookings.

Just checked the White Lion site now to see what's what and it's at £158 for a single room and only 5 left (same price on booking.com btw).
I think Covid has been a great boost for the UK tourist industry but that should clam down next year.

I checked on Saturday and as Richard posted above it's no cheaper on booking.com

STOP PRESS I've Just spoken to Lindsay at the Neuadd. He can do us dinner bed & breakfast at £55 per person per night irrespective of whether you're in one of the 4 singles, 7 doubles, 2 twins or 6 double/twin rooms.

So those of us who've booked at Bala cancel and book with the Neuadd - quote South West Bikers for the above deal. I know it's not the most salubrious establishment but the deal on offer is not to be sneezed at. And we can be amused when Phil drinks too many pints of rimblaster cider

I'm booked, much to their surprise as they'd only just put the phone down from talking to Brian. :)):

So that's me down for a single room.

Same here. I have just got off the phone having booked a room with the swbikers group.
That,s a much better deal Brian, and is just fine for me--bed and grub - brilliant.
