Nah, the Bowd is too foody orientated and once they've skinned your dosh they want you out the door sharpish so they can close up by 10.00 pm. It's not a proper pub, just a restaurant that also serves drinks. There's plenty around that'll better suit. My local is the London Inn in Ottery St Mary and that would be the ideal pub e.g. real ale at £3.00 a pint, soup inna basket @ giveaway prices etc. etc. - a PROPER pub, but it's not in the ideal location for a SWB pub meet - except for meGimlet wrote:What's the Bowd like Phil?

Was just putting ideas ip for a fair midway point for Exeterarians and Somersetarons Or could just meet up at the Harvester...
