hi,
bit of a long shot...
but does anybody know any car insurance companys that acept 'bike' no claims?
I've rided bikes for years (and never claimed) but only driven cars as a named driver on someone elses policy (i'm a named driver with direct line now as you can build up no claims as a named drivers - but only been on this policy for a couple of months)
I'm now getting my 1st solo car policy and need to get the cost down?
any advice would be great!
ps. if someones knows of a company, i'll buy all the coffees on my next rideout with them...and may even stretch to some fish and chips!

Try Tesco Insurance, they took my daughters 1 year no claim from her bike insurance and she saved about £200 by them transferring it to her car insurance.... it's worth a try and if you go for it you could qualify for a free pressure washer too

Re: 'Bike' no claim on CAR insurance???
Are you still using a bike as well?
i did not think you could use NCB on a policy twice over.......ie if you have 4 years NCB on a bike and are still using that NCB on a bike then you would not be able to take out another policy on a car and use the same 4 years NCB (you are currently using on your bike) on a car.
Although there may be insurers out there that will cover your car and bike on the same policy thus you could use the NCB for both

Nope you cant reuse your no claims i dont think, Might be able to pull it off if you insured the car using the renewal letter as proof of no claims but stayed with the same bike company.

Taken from Tesco Insurance website ......>
Company car and motorbike no claims discount
If you have built up a no claims discount on a company car (which you no longer drive) or motorbike, Tesco will take this into account when calculating your premium and work out a suitable discount for your policy premium based on your number of claim free years.
This discount is available to customers over the age of 25 who were the main user of the company car or motorbike in question and who used the car for social and domestic as well as business use.
n.b. Discounts are not cumulative; if you are eligible for more than one discount the greater will be applied to your risk based premium.
Although my daughter still go a discount and is younger than 25 so it's still worth asking...
