Gossip THREAD for LLANDOW/PEMBREY 2008

Post by Blimey »

I know there is lots of threads for Llandow/Pembrey but they all have thier own purpose's. I couldn't find one that gave an insight into the day and a way to express discuss and thanks to fellow riders and also praise for great riding ability.

Jason  was awesome and very very fast. Both circuits he took like a duck to water. Kept everyone up till god knows what hour with his girly laugh and stealing benchs and solor powerlights  Was a great laugh though

Age  was very very well behaved and i beleive credit where its due and some are quick to jump on him when he is bad. Great company during the days

Julian  a dark horse in the novice. Never knew anyone could brake soooo late on thier first lap let alone thier first trackday. Really put the RR in its place. Also we shared a great shower together at Pembrey

Dynasangel  Showed so much confidence this time round and funny as f*ck when she is drunk

Scott  Simons mate. Now he is a top bloke and please pass this message on. Made the couple days for me. Helped each other (well he helped me) great smooth rider, and just shared most the time with him on and off the track. Took in turns following each other and was just great taliking about it afterwards.

Could go on thanking and commenting on peeps all day but will let others take a turn.

Michalea and kerrie thanks for the lovely food

Nick and Phil both did a great job of the trackdays and weather

Got soo much i want to say but its your turn folks. Now don't hold back

I have been cruelly accused of the crimes of others ...arron stole the bench and nat knicked the solar lights...I was an innocent party and played no part in it (I think, hard to remember as I was fair mullered  )

Blimey was the ultimate jessie when he somehow managed to sneak away when we where trying to convince him to help us polish off the remaining cans in the truck. This was a particularly cruel thing to do as it mean Nat had to drink more and he was "bloated" :)

on the bike llandow was way more fun than I thought it would be and I particularly enjoyed the last session with scotty (unfortunately the vid cam failed for that one).

Ditto all that blimey said… plus

Me  I didn’t brake sooo late, I broke tooo late

Jason and arron  drank Wales dry, then rode like demons 8)

Gav  how did you go so fast, straight out on kellys bike. You do realise if you had come off during your high side and lived, she would have killed you any way

Layne  thanks for helping me with my suspension, and how do you make that old bike go so fast 8)

Stevie d  award for most committed, rode there and back with all his camping gear.

Kelly  you rode so well, and loved making the video. You done that before……..

Simon  so close to knee down it hurts!!

Funky  3 crashes in 2 days ! and.................... that’s all I’m saying!!!!!

Nick  I saw you overtake and was wondering if you were going to make the corner, lucky for you there was 100 meters of runoff

Scott  thanks for your funnel!!!

Blimmey  yes I enjoyed our shower together in the broke back shower block. The last thing you said to me was that you had to rush back from pembrey to see the wife, for it was your birthday. And you were asleep by nine. :? Didn’t realise you were that old!! oh and get the RR on track, its where it belongs. judging by the way you made that old cbr go, the thous would go home with there tails between there legs 8) :D

That was Scott. One of Simons mates (Billinom8s) he truly was a top chap and we had a blast at Pembrey in the Inters. He too did a bit of cross country as well at Pembrey.

Really weired i was taking the big double left as i call it and saw this white thing in the corner of my eye across the grass about 10 yrds away then i took a double take and saw it was Scott and fought oh sh*t he has obviously lost it and then fought hope he doesn't hit a big bump in the field area and crashes while making his way back onto the circuit half a mile around. Then fought what on earth are you worried for and by then i had covered 4 bends with out even thinking. Goes to show what an impact he made on me. And no i ain't GAY  TOP CHAP

Julian can always rely on you for a great reply honey

and Age i give up sticking up for you. Going along with everyone else now, you truly are a complete and utter tozer and even more uglier then me beleive it or not

Oh and Jason ""Leave me alone i am bloated and its my first trackday you mother f*cker""  Poor chap, your soooooo mean

That quote will stay with me forever along with Funkys " I AM A VICTIM OF CIRCUMSTANCE " both are quality for thier own reasons

One my funniest moments of the weekend was seeing Julian on the first session of his first trackday and I kept asking him how he thought he was going to ride and he kept on saying he'll take it easy and ride like its the road. Must had been 2-3 laps of the first session and he's already flying down the main straight, didnt look like he was going to stop most of the time :) I think he got alot smoother throughout both days, came past me on the brakes at the main straight Pembrey like I was stood still.

I enjoyed taking the pics on Friday but I did get very burnt and it still hurts now, I can feel all my skin about to fall off :(

Ducati lady in Novice at Pembrey was funny too, never seen anyone come off the track on the warm up at 15MPH, then come onto the track and almost come off again on the opposite side!! Mind you, she did get 100% better as the day went on, the marshalls did a good job with her.

Dave must have had fun as he didn't get the dreaded 'You life is over now' call.

Kelly did really well, she was flying around the track. She didnt want to stop and probably would had carried on all night :) Made light work of Funky down the back straight ;) one more lap and I'm sure Julian and Simon would have had a few problems too  dare I say she was closer to a kneedown than Simon  I didnt get a pic but the right side of the tyres were ragged right the edge!

Simon & Funky...better luck next year

You did look burnt to hell at pembrey thats for sure. keep piling the aftersun on, and take pride in the quality of your pics - they seriously are better than some of the proffesionals photographers you get at trackdays.

that woman on the duc could barely ride a bike full stop, I was watching with age and arron and we thought the instructors let her down on the first session as they let her ride past the pit lane entrance at the end when the instructor behind could have just passed and guided her in. That left her embarrasingly having to turn her bike around in the track and wobble across the grass looking like she was about to topple over in front of loads of people watching. I notice after that she was riding with an instructor in front and behind so they obviously took good care of her from there on in after.

on the flip side there was also a lady on a duc in the fast group.

and there was another one that me and julian where looking at (admiring) in the pits - not sure what group she was in but we sort of got momentarally mesmerised mid converstaion before we realised that we where actually staring at the poor woman and probably making her feel a bit uncomfy  . so we quickly stopped. Although as her van was quite close to K7 Dave's she was probably quite used to lecherous men leering at her
