C.N.C. MACHINING????

Post by scorpion »

If anyone is interested in either a one off or a batch of items machined pretty cheap in a variety of materials to your design...e.g. one off hangers..radiator grilles...need i carry on..just use your imagination...
I have a mate who has a C.N.C. Milling machine sat in his workshop at home lying dorment at the moment, he's done work for me in ally and acrylic and he's pretty decent and reasonable as it's something he does as a sideline.

Bollocks wish I'd seen this before I bought those bloody risers!

May well be in touch in the future, may need some bits for bandit fighter.

Would custom stabilisers be one of the items ya need for the Bandit...or a drag bar perhaps?

I think i'm going to need a rear footpeg that goes over my high level exhaust so the missus can go on the back. How much does your mate charge?

Basic stuff mate, first project.

Basic list goes-
GSXR 750 engine
K&N dual oval air filters
36mm carbs
Dyna 2000 ignition, coils, leads
50hp WON nitrous kit
Progressive controller
Delkevic headers/may swap for micron
Custom link pipe
Stubby carbon can
GSXR 750 rear shock
GSXR 750 front forks, anodised black, polished yokes
Spartan cylinder risers
Renthal bars
Satin black powdercoated frame and swinger
Unatec rear seat unit
Custom subframe
LED rear tail light combining indicators
Smaller plate mounted under seat
Custom paint job
Mini spots and grilled bates headlight

So far, the forks are off being anodised, waiting on seat unit to cut up subby, engine is waiting transportation to garage. And everythings stripped down.

Cant think of anything off the top of me head that I need machining, most of it is just fabrication right now.

Ideal! Going to need a subframe fabricated, would want to just give him the frame, seat unit and tank and leave him to it though lol. May use existing one, just modified though, have a friend who can weld, but not so good at fabricating new stuff if you follow me.

Here's his email address again chris adekennett@tiscali.co.uk just send him an email and explain what your looking for and i'll have word with him at work tomorrow and let him know your gonna email him...i couldn't give you an idea on price cause the things he's done for me i've always supplied my own material but he aint expensive cause he's not doing it to earn a living.
