Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

SWB BIG RIDE

Post by billinom8s »

Ok, just gonna throw this out there and see what you all think.

I had a pm from hazard9 with a suggestion about doing a meet up ride. basically 3 rides all start off in different locations, meet at a specified point and then ride on to another destination together and grab some food.

what we are thinking at the moment is a group from exeter area, group from barnstaple area and a group from the falmouth/hayle area but obviously that is to confirmed by the local co-ordinators and individual rideout routes planned.

what do u think? it will be a ideal chance to get maximum numbers of members together in one place and have a laugh.

should it be friendly ride style or normal ride style, if this is to be a social event then i would say a friendly ride style would be better for larger numbers :D :D :D
but what do you think ?

when the 3 groups meet and ride together, that will definately be a frindly ride style tho.

anyway, its not gonna be till the weather improves tho so no panic.

Sounds good to me, the more the merrier, just a thought though, would it be possible to actually go somewhere, fun park or bike show, something along those lines, spend an afternoon there then ride home :)

Depending on where the specified point is going to be, can there be room for a 4th group coming from our way? :D

Friendly for sure when the groups meet, but getting there might depend on who is in that group? ie if its only 3/4 and they've all ridden together b4, then no reason for some playtime before the meet itself 8)

Sounds like a good idea - with such a good turnout for yesterday, and if this attracts more numbers, you might have to think carefully about where to go to get food etc...

sounds like a good idea,we did a simailir ride earlier in the year with a few from the gixer junies site, met up in plymouth and then rode to padstow for lunch, wasnt a friendy ride though
6 of us left st a,there was afew plymouth lads (jay n jason),some from exeter way (age) would have been more but k7dave n colin dropped out and then some lads came from torquay way. the meeting point was gt's as jaspers had roadworks, the idea worked well and was a good day out
