i know what u mean the earlyest i could get was nov it is a nightmar lollol well if u get the ybr i will still be the slowest thing on the ride out lol and as for the shoppin bags i have got a big rucksak lolSirona wrote:Well, thanks for all your welcomes! Good to be here at long last! I wasnt sure of the reception I would get, me being an 'L' plate girl and all that. Some people seem to think that you arent a real biker until you have passed your test which I think is pants. We all have to start somewhere!!
Fluffybunny - a girly rideout sounds good - hopefully getting my bike in next 2 weeks, going to see one next Saturday that I'm very keen on, a YBR 125, will get me on the road until my test at least, hoping to take test asap, its all dependant on what time my instructor can give me, they are so busy at the moment with the build up to the new test that it has been really difficult to get any time with him, he is very good though, Gordon of PRIDE of Taunton (plug, plug!!)
klet me no how u get on with gettin the 125

Hope you can get a DAS test and training booked in before Sept 29th... otherwise it looks like you'll be doing the new test in Exeter

Time for an update....... on Day 4 of Direct Access now and enjoying it, nothing better than battling with Taunton traffic all day every day! Got test next Wednesday morning and not looking forward to it...... not many people seem to be passing at the moment. Getting my head around U turns and emergency stops at the moment, what fun! Funniest moment this week was stopping at traffic lights along Silk Mills Road and running out of petrol. I can laugh about it now..... Doing my training with Taunton School of Motorcycling and Derek who is a great teacher and is managing to keep my spirits up admirably, especially on the first day when I was like a drowned rat!

keep at it, if you are enjoying it in the rain then think how much fun you will be having when its blazing sunshine and the roads are dry !!!
taunton is a pain to learn in but if you can handle all the traffic lights and one way system you will be laughing, good luck next week!

Good Luck for next week then and look forward to seeing you on a ride post test

Re: Waving Hello Madly
Well, that was day 4 over of the course and I could wring my gloves out when I got home! Soaked! But it least I know I can do it in the rain! Around one back road in Galmington it was blocked due to the 'lake' in the middle of the road but we just rode on through, it was great! Instructor thinks its all coming together for me now which is hopeful for next week, fingers crossed! And I didnt run out of petrol today which was a bonus!!!!
