Nothing's ever simple
Got a letter from some solicitors yesterday, turns out the woman who knocked me off my bike is saying it was my fault and is pursuing a claim against me! you have no idea how annoyed i am about this, it was clearly her fault so why can't it just be settled?

This stuff happens mate, i'm still going through all the gubbins with mine. It will sort it self out, just got to be honest and believe in good Karma.

Re: Nothing's ever simple
Its crap, the honest people always get dumped on. Looks like Kelly wont get a thing after she was hit by an uninsured driver because her doctor reckons her severe whiplash is RSI....

I would go find a no win no fee solicitor they work harder for you or they don't get paid.........DynaMight wrote:Its crap, the honest people always get dumped on. Looks like Kelly wont get a thing after she was hit by an uninsured driver because her doctor reckons her severe whiplash is RSI....
And the woman who knocked Webster off has obviously been talking to someone as well to change her mind so get a no win no fee guy out of motorcycle news there are some in there with good records.......

White dalton are the ones with the best reputation. The majority of their solicitors are bike riders too

Re: Nothing's ever simple
I wouldn`t worry about it mate, its just her solicitors trying it on, she prob didn`t even say it was your fault, your solicitor prob sent her a letter like that too, they always do it, they`ll just pay up in the end

Re: Nothing's ever simple
My insurance company sorted me out with a solicitors called New Law who have been in contact with her insurance company, i think this is probably what triggered the letter i received but it's still annoying to read that they think it was my fault, and also their explanation of the accident is that she was riding down the road and i was into the back of her, which isn't even slightly true, i'd have to try bloody hard to hit the rear of a cyclist with a motorbike!

Re: Nothing's ever simple
Isn't it funny how insurance companies love us bikers and are always friendly and nice when it's time for us to cough up the premium, but those same insurance companies immediately slam us as reckless criminals the second we have an accident?
Then they claim poverty and whinge that there's not enough money in insurance, so they have to put all our premiums (car, bikes, everything) up. I have one question though, if insurance companies have such a hard time, how come the insurance section in the Yellow Pages is so bloody big? I would have thought if it's so bad for them no one would want to do it.......
At the end of the day I think they are all theiving gits, but such is life. Hope your claim works out okay in the end, good luck.

Re: Nothing's ever simple
My sentiments exactly, my insurance company (express insurance) cancelled my cover without telling me after my bike was stolen so I had to take out another policy for my new one rather than update it. Then they say that I owe them the rest of the premium as I had been paying monthly. So far I'm saying that they cancelled it so their problem and why should I pay for a service i'm not receiving? Also I'm highlighting the fact they didn't notify me. I've told them I'm seeking legal advice tooBladerunner wrote:Isn't it funny how insurance companies love us bikers and are always friendly and nice when it's time for us to cough up the premium, but those same insurance companies immediately slam us as reckless criminals the second we have an accident?

Luckily if it ends up going to a debt collection agency there is nowt they can do other than try to get me with a CCJ which will cost them more than the 400 they say I owe...
Surely if you're in the insurance game part of the risk of it is that a customer might claim?
