Doesn't look very different to my K5. Dont like those curved twin end cans.

ugly cans - not that that matters in the slightest as nobody in the world runs on stock cans anyway - all sportbikes these days have ugly stock can setups to cope with increasingly strict emissions standards.

other than that it looks like a GSXR which can only be a good thing. if its an improvement on the K7 ill probably end up buying one at some point.

I think the same guy who designed the stock cans for my K8 Busa had a hand in these too! Fugly is an understatement!
2008 K8 GSX1340R Hayabusa - loadsa welly!!
1979 K3 CB550 Honda Four - hardly any welly!!

I belive the GSXR1000 K9 has the same as the hyabusa a "gentlmens agreemeet" on there to stop it going over the 200mph mark

I think its going to be one of the best sellers

interseting write up in this months bike magazine showing that the k5 gsxr1000 has much better low down torque and revs to the new 09 bike and even the 07 bike without losing any top end bhp. makes you wonder if its worth buying a new bike or a 4 year old one that gives better figures
