We (myself and Jade) popped in on Sunday and there are a lot of great deals to be had. Lots of RST, Frank Thomas gear etc. According to the chap that we dealt with the Bodmin store is a experiment to see if there is a market for them in the area. The stock is only 25% of the stock that the Swindon/other stores hold plus there are all the bikes that George White sell which if the store is successful then they will also make an appearance!

I hope George White do move down and give GT and Damerells some competition.. but father has now bought his last two bikes from George White, one of which being a new Yamaha FJR1300 because our local dealers just arent competative and willing to negotiate.. all in with the p/x of a 2006 BMW R1200GSA and the purchase of the FJR1300, my father saved £2000 compared with a similar deal at Damerells.

Just for an example.. Damerells are currently selling a really really old Fireblade for £3000!!!! if anyone has seen it!!

It would be good for them to open a new bike store in the area,I just can't see it being at the same site with all the restricitons on that building/ind estate

the store might not be there very long anyway

theres a rumour going round that its just a summer shop and it also has the small issue of being on a trading estate that is solely storage/warehouse use only so no retail outlets allowed, expect a complaint or two to the council very soon
First off its not a summer shop and its not a trading estate..... retail shops are actually allowed there and the council have actually been into the shop, only to purchase a new arai

But anyways, I work in the Bodmin branch and it will be a permenant fixture, we are now looking at a bigger area to bring more of our stock down here. The layout of the shop aswell is meant to be as it is as a outlet that is why there is no current stock, all of that is up at our other shops which if we get a good response from this trial down here we should be bringing down the rest of the outlet, second hand bikes, current stock bikes and all current clothing and helemts.

The reason it looks rushed is because when we first got down here we didnt want to spend a large sum of money when this could just be packed up and moved away again. But this isn't the case we are looking to now refurbesh the area or again move to a much bigger hanger of our own not sharing with Gul.

Once again the reason we didnt advertise the opening everywhere (MCN was the only place) and get a load of bikers down etc was because this isnt a huge opening, its only a small branch from our main shop, which we will opening at least another 3 around the UK.

Just to let everyone know aswell we shall be open untill 8PM next wednesday just as a late opening for anyone can't usual make weekdays because of work or too busy on the weekends.
