Considering the iffy weather it was a good a good day.
After a night of wind and heavy rain,I was suprised to wake up to a dry day,and even more surprised the gazebo was still intact.
It was fully booked but seemed very quite, rekon alot of peeps didn't turn up because of the crap weather forecast.Anyway after signing on went into the briefing, fairly laid back but did go on a bit.Came out of the brief to quite heavy rain.First session was very wet with standing water in a few places. Was shocked at how fast the lads on wets went past me,i had no confidence at all, being first time on track in the wet,and on super corsa bsb's,which have seen better days.
lining up for the second session noticed the 2 bikes in front didn't have wets on,and as the rain had nearly stopped, thought i would try and stay with them. After a few laps a dry line was appearing,by the end of the session track was completely dry :D
Track stayed dry till the last session when it really hammered down, only 4 of us in inters went out,but after 10 mins i came in,couldn't see anything, had rain inside my visor, and was getting cold and wet :(
Highlight of the day was finally getting the 2 lefts sorted, and being able to run with the main pack in inters.
This was 3rd time with F.E.first one they stitched us up with donnington, but the last 2 have been easy going, with no issues, and for pembrey there was no issues with cameras, videos, and alot better for not having the 2 compulsary warm up laps every session.
One worth while point was there was no static noise test,Was told there was a drive through test which was 98db the equivellent of 102db static,so check with allan holland for 3rd july.
allin all a good day, riding improved a bit,and got some good pic's thanks to gav.
