You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.
Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Oh thank god! I thought he was never going to mention the cake stops!!!billinom8s wrote:oh yeah, and tea/cake stops
+1 on whats already been said...
I cannot stress enough the importance of riding at your own pace....many a time I have waved people on so they can overtake me, and similarly theres been plenty of occasions where I've ridden quite happily behind a more novice rider.
I KNOW I've benefitted from riding with more experienced peeps, and I hope I can do the same for others
I'm with Si & Moosey...the 'system' just needs a bit of a tweak and theres no reason that we cant enjoy future rides as a group!
We do this thing for fun peeps, lets remember that.
Our best wishes to Taz from me & him, speedy recovery fella xx
If I have to explain, you'll NEVER understand

This may ease the pressure on theTEC to keep pace and play constant catch up with the main lead. I know sometimes I felt like I held up the more experienced riders.
I too would come out for a ride with you Steve

it's not a patch club or anything steve.
we post rides, we go on them, we post pub meets, we go to them. we give banter, we take banter.
it's pretty low key and informal.

I have to agree with Si...........We go on this site because we want too..........we like riding our bikes, thats why we go on ride outs....Its our choice and its our own responsability. We can not put our safety in the hands of fellow riders, that is not fair. The system in place now and has been for years is the right one, it works well. If im leading a ride out and come off then its my fault, no one elses. The same if i,m JM or TEC or sweeper. The system in place is fine.........Its just a bit of communication required............6 or more bikes [especially if strangers] do a pair up.......[Pair up with one other rider, swop mobiles, take mental note of name [real and site name] and most importantly the bike there riding and the colour.......you dont have to ride with them, thats the point....at a regroup it is easier to remember one person than 50...........and it would be very unusual for 2 riders that were paired to go missing together!..........Also make everyone aware of regroup stations and final destinations..........If im leaving a ride early i make sure the leader knows about it..........the same with joining a ride half way through, its your responsability to find out these things [if you were not at the start] then its hard luck.......communication...communication..........but dont change the format.............sorry about spelling....i,m a newbee to this Club, and I think its great.............................Taz all the best, hope to meet you on a ride out in near future......Skippy

Hi Guy/girls.....
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR MESSAGES OF SUPPORT AND gws'S. The Doc's official wording:
Chris sustained injuries foremost to his lower left leg, this entailed ankle and heel of which
he broke his heel bone in one place and a fracture occurred in the other, also with various
ligament damage. As a result of this injury, he also suffered two (2) collapsed lungs of which
were initially treated at scene by way of chest plugs to either side of the chest cavity.
Also there was risk of CT section of vertebrae damage so the precaution was collar and braces.
Transpired that this risk was severe bruising to the top 5 vertebrate.
i cant give an answer to why/how i came off but it certainly was NOT anyone's fault except mine. the only thing i saw in the road seemed impassable at the current speed or change in direction so i reduced speed etc but approaching 'it' , what ever the thing was had moved. So timing and confusion were predominantly to blame i think.
I will be organising a coffee for those who wish to attend to re-live and laugh at the events....
sometime in the next few days or up to a week. Nothing formal!!
Much love and thanks again EVERYONE!! A special one toSilvertonkate( kate )for taking the pica-ture of my baby before the train wreck!!
