Hiya Watters,

Have you thought about undertaking the service yourself rather than going to a garage?

I've done my own servicing with a mate in attendance for support and it went fine.

Go on, have a go.... :D

I have used 2 wheel technics, at Parkway Industrial Estate, by Marsh Mills.
Cost me £140 for a 4000 mile service, oil, filter, brake fluid, general checkup. Too expensive for me so I do it myself now.

I've used car garages before where i've supplied the parts and the only thing is they wont give a guarantee on the parts, which is only fair I suppose.

I know you're only down the road from me so you're welcome to borrow my garage, I might even give you a hand :)

At the moment all my servicing is done at Bridge Exeter, (Where I bought the bike)

As it's only just over 6 months old I'm doing this to get the stamps in the service book. Plus it'll increase the value if I try to sell it..

Not that i'm interested in selling at the moment :)

Have you tried Pete at E&E Motorcycles. He has a small garage at the back of the Pavilions. I have used him for servicing when I had my GT550, and he does MOT's too. I always found hime to be good (can't remember how much he charges but I know it's less than GT). I can give you his phone number if you're interested.
BTW I don't use him now cos I only recently got my FJ1200 so will probably get my servicing done at the FJ Owners Club.

Noted.... is his garage near Low cost motors?, I bought my yammi off Chris last year, always good to know of some places to take the bike when a MOT is due.

I do all my own servicing but I get my MOT's done at a place called Western Spares. They are based in Millbridge Plymouth and their number is 01752 565665 They're very popular with the locals round here.

If I was paying, I would take it to 2 wheel technics as Rod does a good job. However, given that it is so expensive and it is an easy bike to service I prefer to do it myself, knowing that everything will be done. Its not worth maintaining the warranty.

Plymouth garages

I can also recommend E&E motorcycles. The place looks a mess and is something out of the dark ages, but he knows his bikes and goes that extra mile to help. Never had a problem with him and he has serviced /MOTd all my bikes...Ninja, Duke and Triumph. Very cheap too

Is this the garage behind the pavillions, (bath street?) if it is then your the third person in two days to recommend him. I know chris from low cost motors who I think is next to E&E.
