Cornwall 'Friendly Ride' Sun July 26th-IT'S ON!!!

Post by badgerKDD »

Right I said I'd do it, so here it is!

Sunday 26th July FRIENDLY RIDE around and about in Cornwall.

This ride is going to be specifically aimed at those who are carrying pillions, newer riders, ride 125's or just want to take it easy and have a relaxed Sunday morning bimble!

I haven't finalised a route yet, but I'm aiming for 10 am start at Chivvy Cross, probably head East then around and about, might take in King Harry ferry and head back towards Falmouth to end and have coffee and ice cream at one of the beaches ( probably Swanpool ). I expect to be out for 2/3 hours max finishing lunchtime ish, so you can either continue on your own route or head home and still have the rest of the day for life stuff ;) .

Check out the ride out descriptions here if you are unsure what a Friendly Ride entails:
viewforum.php?f=94" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Stick your name down and we'll get a list together of willing participants.

Cheers, Badger.

I'm trying to convince my gaggle to partake. Somewhere between 1 and 4 bikes likely in many possible combinations. Two riders are very new (<100 miles each and on slow 125s - a sym and an sr) so maybe too soon for them.

I've told them it's worth it just to meet the legendary badger so that should do the trick.

Edit: typical. Lots of changed shifts mean wife, daughter and her boyfriend are all working.

That's a shame, I was trying to aim this ride at newer riders to give them some confidence and show a bit of biking solidarity to newbie riders, oh and an easy going ride out aimed at pillions too of course ;) ....

:-bd

And as Merv so helpfully pointed out ;) , I want to be leaving Chivvy at 10am give or take 5 mins. If you get there a bit earlier I recommend the muffins at Costa/ Starbucks ( one of those coffee chains) they have gooey choccy in the middle of the Choc one :D !

In fact can I clarify, MEET AT THE COFFEE SHOP NOT PETROL STATION

Cheers B-) B-)

'Chivvy' is local name for Chiverton Cross Roundabout on the A30. Its the next largest roundabout after Carland Cross, its where the Single carriageway A30 returns to Dual carriageway 2 or 3 miles before Reduth.

There's a couple of fuel stations and a coffee place, think its Costa, but could be Starbucks?
