Re: Buying another bike
I got my first second bike by buying a cat c and fixing it up and selling it. I got my second second Bike by putting my first first bike under a lorry and rebuilding it into a track bike. I got my third second bike, which in fact was my third bike by buying another cat c, fixing and selling it. My second third bike was a scooter that I bought to trash off road but that never happened so I fixed it up and sold it.
I now only have a first and second bike.

Don't tell her in the first place?*
*Admittedly this is easier if you have somewhere else to keep the bike, and have time to ride it. Such as working 80-odd miles from home and staying over where you work a lot.

"I got it for when you pass your test!"

Easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.
'I'll buy the VFR as it's comfier for you, sell it after a few trips. Look, this Hayabusa will be better again, I'll trade the VFR for it, can sell the 'busa after we had a holiday on it'.
5 years later, the Hayabusa's still here, the girlfriend isn't - oops!!
