But if u dont mind being pulled on a monthly basis go ahead. I've asked dave to dig out the orinal plate for the VFR4 before i pick it up next saturday first thing as im not one for dealing with police. Tend to lose my rag and that means points :x

Was only pulled once by a traffic cop who followed me from ivybridge to plymouth with me doing 90-100mph..i was nice to him an he let me go with a warning. No point in pissing them off or being sarcastic to them.

If i was to post the evidence that was presented at my court case, the two DIFFERENT copper statements, post a map of the road then get u to ride in the same direction you would see that most was fiction just to make a mockery of me in court!! if you look at the geography of the road u would see that there statement contridicts each other, oh and no film footage even though it was a traffic car!!!! unless coppers can see through solid tarmac or over hills it was two different fairytales!!

And the fact that they saw us "racing down a road" we didnt even travel on, we were getting fuel at the old esso garage and traveled from Glen Road direction!!!!

I hope you see my side of the coin and why i hate them so!!

Anyway end of my rant!!
im just gonna grab my 12bore, sit on the side of the road and go get even!!!!

When it comes down to it guys its just vanity. Why change your rear plate, u'll never be looking at it so whats the point ive never looked at a bike and thought god that rear end is ugly due to the plate its usually the hideous factory mudgaurds that make me think that (ie the newer sv650s')?
It is not the horrors of war which trouble me but the unseen horrors of peace

I have a standard plate, I was thinking of going legal smaller and just getting the edges down a bit, if you have less letters i.e. some plates only have 6 or even 5 you are allowed a smaller plate too. I dont see the point in small plates to be honest, I would just go as small as you legally can which is probably more than you think and get it a bit custom with a slogan

Maybe it is a bit of vanity, But at the end of the day if i want my bike to look better, then thats my choice, I've already ditched the factory mudguard and have a Hamicad tail tidy in place, I just want to tidy up the rear end a bit more. In a year or so (once 05 plate doesnt seem like a new bike) I'll be putting a private plate on it anyway!

I have a 8x6 plate which is smaller then standard legal size 9x7. Mine is a show plate but the letters are the correct size. Never been pulled for it and it looks a damn sight smaller then the standard when you first change it. But i'm afraid the gatzo picked it up still last sunday. Just got a speeding notice 56mph in a 30mph. How stupid am i. Got caught by the same camera 7 years ago.

Gixxers look gash with big plates. fair enough have a big billboard on a commuter or a sports touring bike but on a GSXR it ruins the lines of the bike.

I dont see whats wrong with changing your plate for pure vanity reasons either.

...put a small one on and take the occasional fine. Its only 30quid and no points. Bargain id say for getting rid of the ugly back end.

My plate :

Check this out...

http://www.design-a-cover.com/Number_Plates.htm

I've got 7 x 5 on mine, tis small enough yet still easy to read the reg number :D

Far as the local bobbies go, if you don't take the piss, they won't either...

1 line plates are outright illegal on a bike!

Anything smaller than 7 1/4 x 4 1/4 will get you in the s.hit :(

Normal legal 9 x 7 number plates are too huge though even for a bike in my eyes, ugh!!! LOL
