Back again!

Post by Akky86 »

Hello! I'm Danny, been on this site before and used to go on a lot of rideouts with you lot about ten years ago, can't remember my old account information so made a new one :) I used to live in Teignmouth and had a yellow SV650S at the time, for those that may remember!

So me now, I live in Chudleigh, just left the Navy after ten years (Kind of why I haven't been around) as a helicopter engineer, and keen to get "Back in the saddle" after not having a bike for about two years now.

Hopefully I'll see some of you soon!

Hi Danny welcome back.

Best not go down the SV route as the Last one you had the engine seemed a bit tight.

Haha yeah I was a lot younger and more clueless back then! How're you doing? I think you had an R1 the last time I saw you, what do you have now?

I'm not sure what I'm going to buy, I had a ZX9R about two years ago, but got rid of it because I was constantly out of the country, but now that I'm a civvy again I NEED another bike, thinking ZX10R/CBR1000RR kind of thing, even looked at an RSV Mille R factory - thoughts? Pretty out of date here...!

R1 is gone.
Riding a superduke R now. More fun on the roads than the r1 ever was.

If you've been out of it for a bit, a jump from a 9 to a modern 10 is a big jump up the power charts.

Ah they look like a lot of fun! Nice.

Yeah I know what you mean, which is why I'm leaning more towards the RSV, knowing how forgiving twins are. I've seen a nice 749S for sale as well, decisions decisions!

So I went for a 999 in the end!
Posted a couple of pics in the "Bike Gallery" bit, but it was raining so I'll get better ones when I get it outside again.
