Donington 21st May...

Post by Red5 »

Booked on to go to Dinington 21st May. Am already lift sharing but will have space for an extra bike if anybody else wants to jump in and share the drive.

Just checked google

Dinnington is a town in South Yorkshire, England. It is part of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, as a border town, it is almost equidistant from Sheffield to Rotherham, and about 5 miles from Worksop.

Can't find a track on google maps either.

Is it underground or are the pics out of date??????

Which group do you want to go in? Or do you want SWB legends to tell you which group to go in?

If you think you fast enough go in the fast group, either way you'll find out if you are fast enough.

Hi all Its official I have now booked for this day and Jimbo I have booked Inters also. This is going to be the first time that I have been to Donington so no chance I would be venturing up into Fast on this track day.

I notice that this is also a Noisy track day with a 108db limit so seems you can leave your baffles at home for this one.

As usual will be hiring a track bike from Small Boys and expect to be on there new Triumph 765 track bike for this one :D

GoPro at the ready..... and lets ride :-bd

Don't be surprised if they bump you down to group 1 or lower group depending on who you've booked with.

On my first visit to Donny with focus events, I was bumped down to group 1 as on there booking form they ask how many times you've visited. However it was very apparent on my first session out I was in the wrong group. I had to have a session out with an instructor to be able to move up, which was easily done with a 1.53 lap.

Do feel FE do take it all a bit far... Only done couple of their days to be fair though, not really by choice but just how it's fallen.
I'm going into inters. Soon be shifted down a group if needed I'm sure... :D O:-) O:-)

Don’t panic about group.. no competition. If your good with your lines position.. don’t matter.. I’ve seen people in inters that should be in novice.. all about the coloured sticker..
