Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

That's what I was getting at. If one rider slows down , the rider in front notices and slows down and so on. Saves group having to stop to regroup . Also means someone is watching out for tec.

Makes sense but sometimes you feel pulled in two directions, but yes. Keep an eye on your rear,. always a good idea.

Gents just to confirm this will not be the instruction on this ride.........

I am all for it and use it all the time on my normal rides just not on a spirited ride.

Watching your mirrors as great as it is means you ride at the pace of the slowest ride to keep together as a group (which again is fine and I do this a lot). But by doing junction marking and TEC you tend to separate more but you all get to the same place, nobody gets lost and everybody gets to ride at their speed not the speed of the rider in their mirror.

Hence this is listed as a Spirited ride and I was clean on my first post how I would be running the ride so that everybody knew what to expect upfront.

Spot on Rob. It's your ride, run it as you see fit 8)
I fully understand why you might want to stay focused on the road ahead and not be constantly checking mirrors. Precisely what I do when leading and I see no problem with occasionally stopping to get the group back together, if needed. You just need to make sure everyone understands how the ride will progress and reassure peeps that no one needs to ride outside their personal comfort zone.

Didn't say anything about not using drop off system or telling him how to carry out his ride Brian. After taz's tree hugging exploits while tail end charlie I thought the group had adopted both on rideout but I'm obviously mistaken. Quess that's why alot of the old guard ha e gone elsewhere.

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..
