I'd never use GT's I know people who have bought bikes and their aftersales is non exsistant.
My dad had work done there on his ZX9 before he got the 12, he wanted an immobilser fitted, so the y ripped out his old alarm damaging it badly and then whacked GT stickers on it. I have never heard of anywhere else putting their own stickers on bikes.
I really do HATE GT's I would rather ride to Bridge if I need to go to a dealership (but since I have an import I cant really use dealerships)
Mate if you dont get any joy with them post up and I'm sure we can organise a group gathering to GT's little persuasion tactics

bike looks good mate. I use GT in St Austell only cos thats where the triumph agency is. There excellent down there but didnt buy the bike there so cant comment.

I dont know my way round the Suzuki but are you sure but if it has an electronic mileage counter could it have been set to the 'tripometer' position when you looked at the bike first time? Just an idea?
Mind youif the salesman stated that the bike had 200 miles on the clock I would take it back and leave the keys on their desk and demand your money back. Also the tax was pasrt of the deal so demand monety for that.

Nice bike, shame you got it from GT's... Maybe they used it in a recent event? Like on the stands and rode it their? Or even thats a different one rode up from the cornish center?

My mate bought an RS50 from them.. Delivered late. Would not go up hills.. de-rezzed etc, and he asked for advice on running it in they ignored him.

My other mate who got a brand new NRG their, was told if he has any work done on the bike anywere but GT's they will cancel his warentee etc.. They just charged him £220 for fitting a exhaust, exhaust cost £100. Then £30 for a drive belt.. Which was late...

Bad company.

lol starting to feel a little silly now. That could indeed of happened. However when i enquired about the motorcycle gt described it as 200 miles on the clock so they obviously made the same mistake. Still doesnt explain my missing ECU. I wouldnt use gt's usually either i used them recently for an insurance claim so it would be as expensive as possible for the third party  but normally wouldnt by a bike but u can see its mint with a decent price i couldnt say no :(

yeh gt's do suck monkey pole, they too interested in making money. the guy who owns the plymouth one, his daughter was in my tutor group at school. was a stuck up cow and they dont care about customer relations. i got my bike crom CMS up mutley. what a nice bunch, friendly people who realise be good to your customers and they will keep comming back and spread the word that business is good. obviously gt have yet to learn this tactic. only thing gt has on its side is people who have never done anything to do with bikes. they assume because it all looks pretty and that it has tons of bikes its the ideal place to go and buy a bike, and of course it aint. they're rip of merchants personally. cant say i heard a good word said about that place. dont know what the other 2 gt are like but plymouth sucks to be honest.

I use GT Motorcycles in St Austell and there well sound to deal with. I brought my ZXR from there, listed at £1450, with a little talking I walked away with it only paying £1000. My Dad has brought 3 bikes off them and never had any problems at all with aftersales enquiries. Even got free t-shirts from Mike Grainger at Westpoint Motorcycle Show last summer! :P

Problem with CMS is the first time u go there it feels really back water if u know what i mean..... but after u see through the dingy showroom in the run down area u realise they have alot of parts that other people just dont have for smaller capacity bikes and wat not, cheap too and helpful.

CMS are ideal for import parts and are willing to spend the time to find what your looking for!! during the build of my streetfighter they spent the time to find the rear dampers i wanted, i was looking for a 50 - 60mm rise to the standards and they found them and they fitted!!!!!!

Well if it already had 200 miles on it anyway... was prolly used as a demo bike... maybe they carried on using it as one till it was delivered to you???

Doesn't sound like they are much cop though... won't be touching them with a bargepole...

Usual story though I guess... once someones got your money... they don't give a sh!t :(

Agree with all thats been said about the stealership GT. I ordered clutch springs and a gasket from them, in my bike there are 8 clutch springs 4 long & 4 short ones told them only I wanted the 4 longer ones to replace shorter ones in bike (marauders prone to slipping) told me you can't do that I told them it was my fault if they didn't fit. Then the boy behind the counter tells me he could see there's two different springs but not sure which is the longer ones so he tells me I have to order all of them to get the right ones. It was then I lost my rag and told them to stuff it phoned Bridge at Exeter told they would get them for the next day, which they did. So now always use Bridge.
On the mileage on your nice looking bike have you got any paperwork with the 200mls on if so quote sale of goods act to them or tell them you'll get in touch with trading standards. That should make them listen to you but make sure you know what you want money off or money back before you write to them always put it in writing.
Good luck Keith
