Hello. Welcome back. :-bd

I remember being knelt in a ditch trying to hold two halves of a rather floppy leg together :ymsick:

Hi sniffy.
I also remember that day, being first over the Hill to see a car on the bank and a flattened Bike in the road.

No doubt will catch up soon.

Welcome back.

Some years ago, I was 'first over the hill' .

Long left hander and I was going as fast as I considered safe. One bike came past me at speed and I new him to be a good rider. He was being overtaken by another, track experienced fine fellow. Then comes our hero, trying to keep up but out of his depth. They are fast becoming three abreast on a blind left-hander.

As I exited, our hero was in the grass on the right. I positioned by bike to block oncoming traffic and rushed to his aid. Tried to calm him and keep him still, but he actually hit me in his effort to get up and see how the bike was !

I wasnt getting up that day or the next, my last memory was leaving West Point the next as waking up 5 days later looking at a white tiled ceiling and seeing light. Then shouting where am I, the a nurse saying you have been in a accident. the broken bone count was 22 so i am luky to be here today.

I remember the gathering at the Pub in Liverton when you got out but was still in the wheelchair. Your Missus was not best pleased.

Still, you came through it.

Sounds horrendous Steve. I wasn't around back then.

Glad you're finally able to get your leg over again. Good luck.
