Never really given it much thought but what do people do with their track bikes, do you service at the end of the summer and leave over winter or do you leave it until the start of the next season??
pros and cons to both but just wondering what folks thoughts on it are...

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

Re: post or pre season servicing?
i tend to do mine mid break jut to be awkward.
i try to sort out the niggles too, right now there is a post it note stuck to the tank with the things i have to sort out before next time. I don't see any advantages or disavantages to doing in straight after finishing. when u think about it, if you do it post season you are actually also doing it pre season at the same time - or is that too deep for this thread?????
boobs, poo, fart, nipple - back to a sensible level again.

Re: post or pre season servicing?
Had to take the tank off a few weeks ago as tick-over too high and fuel light on permanently. Shoved in new plugs and an air filter while I was there.
Whilst putting it all back, a small tube on the side of the air box broke clean off. Has a connection to the tank / fuel pump. Now can't attach the connecting hose. Starts Ok goes OK but engine warning light is on. Went down to Clevedon today with no probs bar the krap dumped on the decent of Clarken combe.

Tend to save up a chunk of maintenance duties and project work for the Winter unless it's broken. Always buy oil in bulk and try to keep a filter for each bike. It generally depends on how cold it it is but the track bikes in particular get over serviced.
