Sat 9th July - Devon drag racing

Post by ptolemyx »

Still have the itch so I'm hoping to be there on track for a few test runs - nothing serious. Anyone fancy coming to watch or even have a go :?:

Yeah, count me in for this one Brian. I trust Team Ptolemyx will have the requisite tea/coffee facilities available for any press-ganged spanner twirlers the Busa may need? . . . . . . it IS a Suzuki! :)):

And ..... er' ... July 7th is a Thursday so I'll obey the poster date instead and go on the 9th  .

I'll be just whacking the wheel with the Shinko drag tyre on and dropping from road pressure when I get there as well as strapping the front end down. There should be on site caterers providing lollipops and candyfloss for the car drifting peeps and tea/coffee and bacon butties for the grown-ups on the quarter mile.

So you're riding there then. I'll be on me trumpet but doubt if I'll use it as a drag bike on the day, I'll save that for the SWB rideouts :)): . I suppose info' re' start time, admission prices etc are on the Dakota Raceway website? What time are you getting there?

Phil, your associate who'd like to run could look at these pages. You do not have to pre-book entries, just turn up WITH YOUR DRIVING LICENCE and fill the form. Suggest he phones Helen with any queries - 07921 712266 or email her - helen@straightliners.co.uk

I’m thinking, the weather looks good. I might come up to watch, then pitch the tent somewhere local before joining the Sunday ride.
Jay, are you heading up for this?
Or anyone else from Truro?

Mike, I personally won't be able to be doing any quarter mile action today. Still worth a visit to see some grass roots straightlining, also the drift car boys will be playing.

Thanks for letting me know.
I ran into a little tooth problem last night. So I won’t be putting my helmet in for a few days.
Catch up another time.
