Nah - you'll be on a new bike by then. Probably electric.

Then you'll be hunting round for a charging point....
KTM 1190ADV - sold
KTM 790ADV - sold
KTM 790 Duke - current
Honda CB300R - can I get any smaller 🙄

Well what a fantastic weekend.
Thanks to Brian for the route and leading, those roads were just awesome.
A massive thanks to Duncan for the backie to Leigh Delamare services so that my mate Chris could take me the rest of the way home :)

Well The FJR is dead and it doesn't have ABS LOL the front end locked up for about 9 ft until i came to a stop hitting Goatpants.
I am pretty sure they will write it off, i contacted my insurance on Monday morning and they have passed it over to 4th Dimension and i am still waiting on a phone call !! i am a little bruised but feel way better than i did on Sunday.

Defo up for the next one next year :)

ptolemyx wrote: Jun 19th, '23, 05:37 There was an incident on the way home. Jay's bike is dead, Jay is fine. I returned to the incident, others with better knowledge of what happened will no doubt post. Huge thanks to Duncan and Nick for getting him to his mate Chris at Leigh Delamere services. Hope you got home okay from there Jay. I had a fun ride home escorting Big Chris (goatpants) on his mildly damaged bike. Reckon a lumphammer should be fine to sort that rear rim mate.

We are already tentatively booked with Lyndsay and Catherine at the Neuadd for14-16/06/24. See y'all there :-bd

Good luck with 4th dimension hope they write it off or all you'll get is weekly email updates, mine went on for nearly 6 months last year and Rob had a similar experience 👍👍

Nooooo not 4th dimension.
Best advice I can offer is expect not to see your bike in a long time. When you are contacted by them agree to everything. They will push to give you a lone bike and they will look at every scratch and suggest the replace old for new. They are experts at righting things off and making tonnes of money for them selves. They were desperate to right off my £10k bike for what was £200 of damage and they were close to doing it as well.

Good luck Jay your going to need it.

Difference is your bike was cosmetic and Jay's is structural - forks bent right back so likely frame damage at the headstock. We're not experts but everybody at the scene said that bike should be a write off.
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

Did you take the bits off you want and take photos. They normally come back missing stuff.

Like said above don't get a hire bike! You can get them to improve their offer too. Well I did.

The gen 2 FJR has abs. Gen 3 has traction control. That's as far as it went.

Yes bits taken off already, not going to have a hire bike as i have the blade :)

next bike needs ABS to avoid front end lockups :)):

Did your video pic up anything?

Looked like some impressive braking to me.
