i need some mechanic advice for Bristol area please

Post by Joejoebristol »

Hi all, I recently got a Lexmoto 125cc that I commute to and from work daily and the occasional longer ride on the days off to help clear the mind.

I am based in South Bristol, from a soft google search, there doesn’t seem to be many bike garages around.

Where do riders from Bristol go to get the bike checked over? Just the basics MOT, tyre change, service etc. I like to support independent if there are any trustworthy gems out there?

Thanks, Joe

hi ya and welcome in.

did u buy the bike new? if so u may find you have to use a lexmoto dealer for any work.

if not then i'd look for one that's been around for a few years, that way you've half a chance of getting some decent mechanics working on it. I'm sure Ruffian will be along in a bitas he works for Lexmoto and will be able to offer some advice.

Kellaway motorcycles are the Bristol Lexmoto dealer and are firmly local independent. 01179 245491.

Both Kellaway and JHS are good. A mate of mine always uses Morpheus on two mile hill.

Thank you all, have had to put it in a garage after just 2 weeks as draining the battery and not charging. Push start button wouldn’t start the bike. Looking at getting a KTM duke 125.

Thanks for the advice. joe

What lexmoto is it as there are plenty of models.

With not charging and battery drain,
Will need diagnosis for if a parasitic drain ie a system not shutting off, Duffy battery, or not charging properly to let the battery recover.

They aren't overly complicated which is a good thing.
Ktm Duke are a decent bike though
