Insurance for the mature rider

Post by banjo »

I've recently insured a couple of bikes and found that some companys won't quote for me. Had a bmw 1200 with swinton sold that and tried to insure a 790 which they wouldn't quote for but couldn't tell me why.Found a company to insure the 790 then a month later they wouldn't quote for a 650 single So I went in to a broker and they wouldn't me either. None of their companies will insure anyone over 69 never had trouble before so I don't know if it's a new thing or I just tried the wrong brokers

Have you tried a comparison site?

I halved the renewal price offered to my Mum (81) on her car just by using 'compare the market', she was staggered how much cheaper it was.
1190 Adventure S, 990 Superduke, DRZ-400E - all the bases covered.
