I've entered this in the novices. There's BSB at Thruxton the day before https://www.britishsuperbike.com/news/2 ... -announced was thinking of doing both.
The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn't any other test. If the machine produces tranquillity it's right. If it disturbs you it's wrong until either the machine or your mind is changed.

Have you checked the noise limits at Bedford or do you have a quieter pipe to put on (I think you said your's straight through) ?

It's been decatted, that's all. Still with the factory akra with dbkiller. I don't know how to check the noise level?

Bedford is 101db static & 87.5db, which on the low side. For clarity they won't let you out if you're any louder. Most sound management in modern bikes is done by the cat, so it's reasonable to assume you may be over. Testing is done by engine configuration not all bikes are the same. The safest way is to get the bike checked prior too. Are you at Llandow because it'll be done there?. Other than that it means going to a track that has a trackday on to test.
Honda CB1000 GT (on order), Honda CB1000r, Aprilia Tuono V4R for the track, Yamaha RD250E,

I'll refit the cat it's the safest bet, its pretty quiet as standard. Too quiet in fact. Hope to be at Llandow I'm on the reserves list. Will ride their anyway to meet up.

Blyton Park didn't even test for noise.... but my ears were ringing on the straight with earplugs so probably safe to assume it's too noisy. And the other half has mentioned the neighbours etc

Months to sort out detail, but are you intending to ride up/back? Are you stopping over up there?

Sounds like a plan. I need to get a spare fuel bottle. Was thinking of using a SIG bottle

Plus was low on oil after Blyton.... had to pay £16 for 1 litre. There's not a lot of oil in a LC4!
