Cadwell Mon 22nd & 23rd July 2024 booked

Post by MikeZ »

Just booked myself at Cadwell for the Monday and Tuesday 22nd & 23rd July, been promising myself quite a while. Will be riding up on the Sunday and back on the Wed. Think I might need some bubble wrap for the seat and painkillers as going on the ktm690smcr. But I really wanted to try the 690 there....
Anybody else going?

Having just returned from a track day at Cadwell i think i am well placed to say "Bloody hell" that's going to be quite a long ride. your talking 280 if you stick to the main roads and don't try and do any twisties on the way.

Also after doing 1 day at Cadwell with effort being put in you really notice that you have done it so the ride home should be even more interesting.

Wishing you the very best of luck on the trip and hope that you enjoy the track its really great fun

I got myself an airhawk, absolutely fantastic bit of kit, just done Bristol to Louth for Cadwell, avoiding motorways, no issues whatsoever. Excellent bit of kit if your sitting on a board or razor or both for extended period. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good to hear of another Airhawk convert - they're good ain't they. I bought mine years ago (they'd just come out I think) and used it on my 1998 Triumph 955 Sprint ST when I took it to Germany and back. Did the Nürburgring with it too. I've still got it but the gel seat on my current Triumph is pretty good so the Airhawk is currently in retirement.
Triumph Sprint ST 1050.
