Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Sunday 12th January - Rideout

Post by Robbo87 »

As the forecast for the 12th Jan' is good - so far :? , I'm duplicating Sunday 29th December's rideout, with just a couple of tweaks. Details are:

Two pick up points:
(1) Bluebell Cafe at the Esso filling station on the B3181 in Willand EX15 2PF - leaving at 09.30 hrs prompt so please be filled up and ready to move out.
(2) Shell filling station on the A38 Wellington ring road TA21 9AD - leaving at 10.00 hrs prompt.

Route: Anti-clockwise taking in Wiviliscombe, Black Cat, South Molton, Atherington, Jonesy's Cafe in Winkleigh (coffee and snack stop), Crediton, Bickleigh, Tiverton, finishing at the filling station at junction 27 M5 - EX16 7HD.
Miles: Approx 103.
Pace: Making progress but nothing manic.
Notes: If there's four or more of us, we'll operate the tried and tested drop-off system to ensure no-one gets lost or left behind.
Keep checking back here for any updates.

Here's the route: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Blueb ... FQAw%3D%3D

The weather's looking v promising for tomorrow i.e. dry and warming up a bit :)): :-bd . Unless there's a drastic change to this the rideout will go ahead as planned.
We're stopping at Jonesy's Cafe in Winkleigh and last orders there are 12.45 hrs so once the second pick up has happened at the Shell service station on the Wellington ring road at 10.00 hrs we won't be stopping again until we get to the caff - so please make sure your fuelled up and ready to leave.
Check back here before setting out tomorrow a.m. just in case a last minute weather change happens and I have to pull the plug.
See you tomorrow folks :)): :-bd .

I take it the detour off the B3220 near Brushford is for a spot of yoga

If I'm running a bit late I'll meet you by the Old Well Garden Centre (slightly charred but still operating after the fire) so don't wait for me at the Bluebell.

1. Ref' B3220 and tying oneself in knots :)): : Google Maps glitch Herr P, now corrected I hope -https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Blueb ... FQAw%3D%3D

2. Old Well Garden Centre: If not at the Bluebell then see you there around 0935-ish.
