I'm also booked in for 8th July, along with 5 May, 3 Jun and 22nd July. I enjoy Combe, although I do like to try out other venues, the travel makes them more expensive and time consuming. I'm hoping the rumours of Bike track days at Thruxton for 2026 are true, but I've not found any dates yet? Likely to try and do Donnington and Bedford this year as well.

I don't believe there will ever be any bike trackdays at Thruxton, as it is the fastest circuit in the UK and any TD company would find getting any sort of insurance very difficult.

It's down to noise. They can only have 12 noisy days per year. You can blame the local villagers for that.

BSB have 2 days and NGRR have 2. The others 8 are saved for car racing.

They have a standard car trackdays but the limit is 90db. No bike is going to get down to that. A lot of cars struggle too.

Maybe we will all have to get ebikes!!! as it is a great track. Lucky enough to have raced there with BSB predecessor TTF1 and NGRR.

Think they have done bike trackways there but it was a very long, long time ago.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. I won't hold my breath then, and just keep looking a little further afield.

No Need just read this thread and actually i am hoping to be able to do some more track days this year and considering how close Castle Coombe is and also helpful that its just round the corner from my sister in law so no need for a hotel.... I have done the track once and was very bad as my lines were all over the place but would like to go back and improve. So will be booking..... due to some family issues and dependencies might have to wait until closer to the time before i can get booked up though.....

I'll probably do one or two at Combe this year but it'll be via MPS motorsport.

Hi Rob, Hope to see you out there. Word of caution, if using the Circuit hosted days, they do sell out very quickly. One of the dates is already full with a couple others into single figures. The Premier days seem to sell slower, they are £25 more expensive, but for more track time and fewer sighting laps, well worth the extra in my opinion. They are intended for experienced track riders, which I'm sure you qualify for. In my experience, pace is no more rapid than normal inters.

Hi Phil, why do you think they are better than Combe run days? I'm really curious, as I'm likely to give them a try as well, and would like to benefit from your experience.

I didn't realise that there are these MPS days, only had a real quick look at their website. Correct me where I'm wrong. £200 at CC. Standard 3 group slow-med-fast. They provide food in with it.... from the quick look I had looks much better setup than the usual CC days because of there only being 3 groups so more normal nearly 20min sessions rather than the very short 10min sessions which can be frustrating... From the looks of it I would go in the slow group because of my average speed and preference for not braking hard into corners, rather settling myself just prior, although the 690 does relatively speaking lend itself to later braking. Comments please.

No food provided usual cafe or bring your own. Much better than CC normal setup.

Go in the group you are comfortable in. There are so few people on track 12 in each group you have all the space in the world.
