Havent used starcom1 but I do use Autocom sport pro7, its fantastic. excellent pillion to pillion, bike to bike, audio, mobile phone, gps unit. Has adjustable VOX control. Sound is superb.
They were on special at the bike show last weekend £140.00 for unit with twin headsets! (down from £220.00). They are changing the model in April 06, but this one is still excellent.

It's clear at speed, and we miss it we dont use it.
I think starcom is supposed to be similar quality to autocom.
We use an Oxford products one not to bad good up to about 70mph but after that pretty useless (but that is a bonus if your fed up with the nagging) but then again it's about 12yrs old

I have used Autocom (still do) brilliant, Also Oxford (Still do for training) but I found anything above 55-60 and its crap. And have used Kenwood, again a very good system.1154macaw wrote:But very sensitive on the VOX his missus can here him when he mutters something about her riding1blue wrote:We have autocom for Bike to Bike and Rider to pillion.

Of all 3 thou, Autocom is the best without doubt.
Depends what you want Autocom is expandable but just read the specs and see which ticks all the boxes you need

I've used the phone on the Autocom at 90MPH (not on public roads) and the other person didn't even think I was in a car, never mind on a bike. Its pretty impresive.
But I have no idea if its better or worse than the starcom.
I have the battery powered one, just so I can have it in the bum bag with out putting it under the seat.
