Fork Oil

Post by sprocket »

I need to mix up some 12.5W oil, can this simply be done by mixing 1/2 part 10W and 1/2 part 15W?

Sounds too simple to be true? Thanks all :D

Nope not whats in the manual but the manuals designed for mr average joe. Besides I've got some ohlins linear springs going in and people around my weight class have used either 10W or 15W so im gonna hit the middle road with 12.5W.

If you use 10w you won't get as much height flying as 15w gives you

Did trhe same when I had my Sv, just make sure you use the same type of oil, ie mineral or synthetic. I ound 12.5w to be the best compromise for the road.
