We sadly won't be able to make the rideout on the 8th - when are people thinking about doing another for those that can't make this one?

I should be able to make it.

Forecast is cloudy and dry, with a temperature of 1 or 2'c, windchill of -3/-4, so wrap up warm.

Thank you Jim, that was a good idea...

Me and Hassy have just visited the site where Frank had his accident

If nobody minds Hassy, Miler and me would like to lead the rideout from the ferry to the spot.

There is a turning just past it where we can all park our bikes safely to pay our respects.......

The last pink mug me and Miler bought for Frank (which we sadly never got to give him  ) has been left at the spot for him, Frank would like that, I can just see him laughing and shaking his head at people bringing pink mugs for him :)

I also have spoken to Jane (Frank's partner) today and she is so moved by all the tributes everyone has left for Frank, I managed to make a little A5 booklet for her from SWB with all the tributes on (about 8 pages in all).

I also asked Jane about donations for Frank, a few members thought the idea of a trophy in Franks memory would be a good idea, to be given out to the winner of the SWB karting event, it could be kept until the next karting event and handed to the new winner, Jane liked this idea so some of the money will go towards a trophy for Frank and any left over would be given to Air Ambulance... a charity well worthy...... Jane has given us her blessing to go ahead with this and if everyone would like to give a donation I will be more than happy to organise this....

so make sure you bring plenty of money with you tomorrow
