Post by Dave »

Some of you may have seen this already. It is the new advert for the 'Think Bike' campaign.

It's abit graffic, but would hopefully leave an impression on anyone that see's it.

You can also download it from the SWB DOWNLOAD PAGE

Definitely a wake up call for anyone that watches it and about time too.

Excellent.

A bit like the drink drive adverts at Christmas.

This really sinks home to us Bikers and is just raw enough to make car drivers just acknowledge it & possibly think the next time they pull up at a junction

This advert and the yellow road signs ( eg "Biker in your Blind Spot") around Exteter/Torbay make me think us bikers are being helped by the 'authorities' for a change, rather than punished.

Excellent 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Has anyone seen the other think bike advert for bikers. I've only seen it late at night, as a bloke on duke pulling out of his garage and going for a ride and theres loads of different signs telling him whats coming up. Only seen it once at about 4am. ( and no I wasn't dreaming lol)

 i saw this for the first time the other day, my better half had watched it and said i should see it.
i nearly jumped out of my seat, what a great bike awareness advert, probably the best i have seen.
it is about time we had adverts like this to prove to car drive just how vulnerable we are when they dont pay attention.
bloody idiot woman driver nearly did this to me yesterday at emmanuel church on mannamead rd.

Ditto, this happened on Monday after riding back from dropping BKB off at Bideford, except this was a taxi driver, he just pulled right out of the junction the same as the advert, I ripped shit into him and have now report him to the Hackney Office and he will now have to face disciplinary action being taken against him, as apparently this is not the 1st time he has done it. One day if he does it again he will probably kill someone, just like the advert.

Something that would really help is car manufacturers not making such thick a-pillars on new cars, they obscure your vision when taking corners let alone when at junctions.

People may not want to experience that whilst driving their cars and might THINK a bit more now....heres hoping. :?

I saw it, and even knowing it was just a mock up, it still made me want to want to rip the drivers head off!
