:lol: unnecassry torture - at 6500 they 'll do just about a 100mph - slightly less painfull.

They say constant rpm is bad for an engine when you're running it in.

yeh your right its meant to be through the range - but thats over the spread of 600 miles though - I wouldnt have thought an hour or two at constant'ish revs in one hit would be detrimental....

I know there is a method of running in on a dyno whereby they gradually go up through the gears and through the rev range, apparently alot healthier for an engine and keeps the all important BHP than a poorly run in engine can lose...
