Fully Comp with 3rd Party
Ok,
Basically on my dads insurance he gets 3rd party all vehicles, so he can drive my car on his bike insurance. Does anyone else have a policy like this? I want to trawl round them as I'm selling my car soon and just gunna use my dads. Also I now have 4 bikes sat in the garage. One is going soon but it would be nice to be able to use the 12 and the XJ without taking 3 seperates policys!

You Dad cant drive a car on his bike policy. Bikes only. You could do a multi-bike policy for yourself. The premium you pay depends on the value of the most expensive machine and the engine size of the biggest. My dad insured Hayabusa and Triumph Tiger at the same time, and it was free to insure the Triumph on top.
This only works though if you are the only rider on the bikes. As you can only use one at once.

I've never heard of any policy being able to mix cars and bikes, would be interested to know which insurance companies these are and give them a ring tho

I too would be very cautious about assuming a mixed car and bike policy will allow you to ride other vehicles on a TP basis. Car insurers are trying to phase out this part of insurance policies as it is abused so much. The reason insurers provide this cover is if you need to move someone elses vehicle to give access to emergency services etc in the event of an accident. It was never meant for someone to drive their mates car to nip down the shops. It is also important to note that this cover is usually only available on Comp cover and does not extend to named drivers, only the policy holder. I have had a couple of our clients get caught out liek that in the past!! Also the vehicle being driven on the TPO cover must be insured elsewhere already.

Yea dad's with HSBC, dont think I will be allowed to use his car unless fully comp now.
Thanks for ya input guys think I will use a multi-bike. It's for a crappy 50, a XJ 900 (OLD SCHOOL H REG) and a ZXR-400 so the zxr should be the most expensive on the policy really

note: it only covers you while you ride as soon as you get off/out the car/bike is coverd by the oweners ins!
so it dont work on cars/bikes that are not insured!
