Agree with Billy stick to Novice to start with, looking back on some go pro footage of when I first started trackday riding I'm amazed I'm still alive

Cadwell is probably the narrowest track in the country, I spent a lot of time on Silverstone when I was a novice BIG/WIDE track with plenty of run off areas.... Thank god

not saying don't do Cadwell it's a great track, just take your time and don't try and run before you can walk, remember it's fun, not a race

Hi Dan. I did Llandow with this mob in 2018 on my newly acquired 600rr and to say “track days bit” is an understatement!
Chalked up a fair few days since, bought a zx6 specifically for the track and now have moved on to a GSXR 750.
I tend to do mostly weekdays as I have a small children and work for myself.
Double headers are awesome, or couple of days at same venue - it’s all gravy!
Cadwell is my favourite. Doing a single day on Tuesday 31st March, and then Donington on 1st April - on the way back home!
And pretty much have a day a month booked at various locations.
See you on a ride out soon!
Congratulations on the blade - btw! Is it a track bike or both?
Ye I think I might get hooked, the drifting started as a hobby, now I have a dedicated drift car, a trailer and truck just to tow it to events

What age GSXR do you have? I loved my k3 750, should never have sold it!
I have actually now bought 2 older blades, 1 for the road that's clean then another track only thats been used as a track bike for the past few years so already has a track fairing, WOW's etc. Was hoping having 2 similar bikes for road and track might help the learning curve on track as I will be used to the power etc.
Where have you booked on the 1st of August?

I like Pembrey tends to be my last session of the year, is a basic track but have so much fun there.

So, 31st March my birthday,is Cadwell suitable for my first ever track day? and i guess you in inters shooey?
Would be a great way to spend your birthday! Coffee on me all day!
Novice for first few TD’s is recommended.
Cadwell is an awesome circuit and you would be fine and love it! Yes it’s narrower than others but I’ve never really thought about that. A line is a line. A pass is a pass! And I like the grass everywhere we go!
There’s a few of us going, so would be a great day out!

I like that idea. I wish I had a 750 for the road as well. I’m about to put a day time MOT on the gixer (K7) so I can get use to it more!
Yes, it’s a Pembrey limited numbers day so should be good!
But it’s not the greatest track (in my humble opinion)! Cadwell, donington and Oulton - in that order!

For anyone interested I've started a build thread for my 929 track toy. Here's the link to the thread with my first video up on Youtube.
