Ok, not wanting to be drawn into a political debate here... but the enemy is the main stream media, who seem to think they run the country via public opinion. They have Dominic in their cross hairs now, and in return both DC and Boris have the BBC & the MSM in theirs.

The MSM in dying slow death, they have never been so unpopular and distrusted in the UK, thanks largely to their biased coverage of important events.

Every time you go back out there will be a spike just like flu and colds etc especially this time of year

We need to get on with life and use common sense just like we do when flu is around and if you think that flimsy mask your wearing is working think again!!

My view is get out there an live your life, people may die but then 1.8 million die every year of road accidents and more die of flu every year. COVID-19 will never go away as its a virus and the vaccine does not stop you catching it, does not stop you spreading it nor will it protect you from any new strains or from catching it again a few weeks down the line.

I for one am out daily and have been since its started even in and out of lots of properties talking to people and will contiue to do so

Hi 50something you are of course entitled to your own point of view and I am not a medical expert so I would not try to debate you on the effectiveness of the government actions.

However as a moderator of this forum I will promote and support the law of the land. Don’t get me wrong I’m no Angel and I have broken the odd speed limit but when it comes to laws of the country that have been put in place to try and save people’s lives I think the message is clear.

Absolutely agree common sense should prevail and it’s very clear that gathering a group of people together in close proximity for a chat inside or outside is just asking for trouble.

We should keep politics off the forum it’s for stuff about bikes and people who like bikes and riding bikes etc all I need to know is if i am allowed to ride my bike

"all I need to know is if i am allowed to ride my bike" Perhaps the question shouldn't be are we allowed but should we?

I will still be going to Work, I will still have to go to the shops for provisions, I will still, on occasion, ride my Bike as a form of exercise/mental health relief.

So long as precautions are being adhered to, until it's a full tier 4 and I'm furloughed I'm still going to try and have a 'normal' life.



As far as masks go, i'll be wearing one. Although it was pointed out to me that......

If you can smell a fart whilst wearing a mask then the virus can also pass through the material.
So these masks made from t-shirts etc aren't doing anything.
I've been out with a some of you lot and a layer of cotton and denim certainly doesn't stop any particle flow.

If I understand correctly the point of face masks is not so you don’t catch it (as you can catch Covid through your eye balls) It’s about stopping you passing it to others if you have it.

Try the candle test. Light a candle put a mask on and then try to blow it out. Might find it quite difficult

Anyway what ever you guys are doing stay safe and have a very happy new year and wishing you the very best for 2021.

If we hit tier 4 then obviously it'll be no rides.
Plan rides for after that though, nothing stopping that.
Make sure your ride routes don't cross from 3 to 4.
Meet in open spaces, keep your distance from others.
Be sensible with it all.
Don't ride like dicks as Hospital is the Last place you want to be, plus you'll be bringing down the good name of SWB and motorcyclists.
Enjoy the freedom while we still have it.
