Well didn’t exactly go to plan

Brian's busa decided to throw a front wheel bearing after leaving Wellington. So stopped and had a good yap while waiting for Phil and Wendy who went for car and trailer.
Many hands make light work as the bike was lifted onto the bike trailer.
Hope it,s just a couple of bearings and wheel is ok Brian.
Good ride on the big dipper route - see you all next time.

Hope you get sorted soon Brian, see you on the next one.
Cheers to Alan and Roy for a great day out following my ass and trusting my nav skills!!
Massive thanks to Phil and Wendy for rescuing Brian and sacrificing your ride, top friends

Fortunately in my collection of bits and bobs I've a spare set of wheels or two. Will put on the one with the best tyre while new bearings are winging their way to me. It was a tad unnerving finding the handlebars going one way and the wheel doing something else.
Yes I do clean with a pressure washer but go nowhere near the wheel hubs. There was some vibration through the bars just before we stopped which was puzzling but no other advance warning of bearing failure...I had been riding a tad fast earlier that morning.....
I'll post pics of the bearing replacement when I do it, might even do a utube video

I'd certainly be interested to see what that bearing looks like Brian, I have a fascination with worn out and failed bike bits 'cus then you get to play the "what caused it" game.
